‘Mystery’ Betting Option Awaits Bettors For NFL Championship Sunday

Posted on January 22, 2021 - Last Updated on January 31, 2021

Four teams, two games. On the line is a trip to the Super Bowl.

After two weeks of warm ups, the Colorado sports betting market gets its first chance to wager on Championship Sunday.

And while the Denver Broncos won’t play — hopefully they’ll make a return trip soon — fans still have a rooting interest. Or a rooting-against interest, as it were, as the rival Kansas City Chiefs host the Buffalo Bills.

We know the Wyoming faithful will pull for the Josh Allen-led Bills. It’s safe to assume those betting on the Broncos will as well, even if the current betting numbers don’t back that up.

The first game on the docket is the Green Bay Packers hosting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

If the first two weeks of the playoffs are any indication, this is bound to be another great weekend.

As Jason Scott, vice president of trading at BetMGM, said to PlayColorado:

“We’ve seen steady betting action in Colorado during the NFL playoffs and expect to set records for wagers taken in the state during the Super Bowl. Customers will have over 600 prop bets to choose from including color of the Gatorade that is dumped on the winning coach and the length of the national anthem.”

To get the NFL betting crowd ready to go, here are some of the promos various sportsbooks are offering this weekend.

Betfred

The sportsbook is offering what it calls its “Conference Championship Promotion.”

Simply make a wager of $60 or more on the first half of Tampa Bay vs. Green Bay, and get a free $30 bet for the first half of Buffalo vs. Kansas City.

Bet the first touchdown risk-free by picking a player from any game.

As part of this promo, you can get up to $20 back if your pick isn’t the first to score.

Users must opt in and place a “First TD Scorer” prop bet on either Sunday game, and you’ll get up to $20 in free bets if your pick doesn’t celebrate in the end zone.

This is available once, for either of the two games on Sunday.

On a side note, there are also tons of parlay bets you can choose from.

DraftKings

Get a mystery boost for both games this weekend. Come back before the kickoff of each game to reveal it. This is for the Buccaneers and Packers.

Following the opt-in, you’ll be issued with one single-use odds boost token for a mystery market. You will randomly get one of the following boosts:

  • First team to score (pick either side)
  • Davante Adams to score the first touchdown
  • Mike Evans to score the first touchdown
  • Packers to lead at halftime and full time
  • Leonard Fournette to score a touchdown anytime

Fox Bet

New customers get the chance to multiply their money by five times, if Tampa Bay or Green Bay scores.

Wager up to the max bet of $20 on either team to score at least 1 point and get up to $100 in free bets.

No opt-in is required and it must be a single bet.

PointsBet

The sportsbook has brought back its “No Juice Spreads” from the first two rounds of the playoffs.

That means you can bet both championship games at +100 odds.

The “No Juice” is a separate “featured market” just underneath the core markets.

SportsBetting.com

Place a bet of $10 or more on the “Anytime Touchdown Scorer” market of the pre-selected available game.

If your bet loses, the sportsbook will refund you up to $100 in free bet credits.
