Caesars Merger Brings Greater Benefits To Colorado Casino Players

Thanks to a massive corporate casino merger this week, Colorado gamblers have access to rewards at Caesars Entertainment casinos around the US.

Isle Casino and Lady Luck Casino in Black Hawk are now partners with the Caesars Rewards loyalty program. Members of Isle and Lady Luck’s Fan Club loyalty program can link their accounts to Caesars Rewards.

Linking loyalty programs will give Colorado players benefits at Caesars properties across the country.

Eldorado Resorts merger

This week, Caesars Entertainment and Eldorado Resorts completed a merger that’s been in the works for more than a year. Technically, Eldorado is buying Caesars, and keeping the name since it’s one of the most well-known casino brands in the world.

The combined company owns and operates more than 55 casinos worldwide, including two in Colorado. The Isle and Lady Luck casinos in Black Hawk were both owned by Eldorado Resorts. Both are now technically part of the Caesars family, although they are still separate while the companies merge.

Prior to the merger, Caesars CEO Tom Reeg said the company could change the names of some properties to well-known names, e.g., Harrah’s or Horseshoe. However, that’s a discussion for another time.

While the merger is official, it will take time to combine the companies. Reeg says it should take about a year for all of the Eldorado Resorts properties to fully integrate into Caesars’ system.

That said, there are already some changes to both loyalty programs.

Fan Club rewards and Caesars Rewards

For the time being, Isle Casino and Lady Luck Casino guests will continue to use the Fan Club rewards programs for about a year. Sometime next year, the two casinos will switch over to the Caesars Rewards program.

Caesars Rewards is one of the largest casino loyalty programs in the US, with about 40 million members. Between different loyalty programs, Eldorado Resorts will be adding another 10 million members to Caesars Rewards.

In the meantime, members of the Fan Club loyalty program can link their existing accounts to Caesars Rewards. The two programs will remain separate, but players can link accounts to use points for rewards in the other program.

Fan Club members can connect to Caesars Rewards and use points earned in CO at any Caesars property, including Las Vegas. Similarly, Caesars Rewards members can connect to Fan Club to use some of its benefits.

This temporary solution isn’t perfect, but it gives customers more reward options than ever. Eventually, Isle Casino and Lady Luck Casino will be Caesars Rewards properties. Earning and using rewards will be seamless when the migration of the new members is complete.

Exchanging credits with Caesars Rewards

The process of exchanging reward credits isn’t difficult; however, it does take a few minutes because there are some new features.

First, you will start with “Status Match,” which will match your Fan Club status to the corresponding Caesars Rewards status.

  1. Visit “My Rewards” and sign in.
  2. Select “Exchange Credits” from Fan Club.
  3. Choose Isle or Lady Luck casinos and enter your account number.
  4. Click “Request Status Match.”

Caesars Rewards’ tier benefits, such as waived resort fees for Diamond and Seven Stars members, are useful when visiting Las Vegas and Atlantic City. See a full list of tier benefits here. Caesars Rewards’ Seven Stars members should reach out to a host for matching status.

The process involves a little more work when trying to transfer credits. Five Fan Club reward points are equal to one Caesars Rewards reward credit.

  1. Visit Caesars.com/myrewards and sign in.
  2. Go to the “Reward Credits and Reward Points Transfer” section.
  3. Select Isle or Lady Luck casinos to transfer Fan Club points.
  4. Enter your account number.
  5. Enter the number of points to transfer.
  6. Click “Transfer Points.”

The FAQ page offers more information and assistance in connecting any Eldorado Resorts property loyalty club to Caesars Rewards and vice versa.

Why bother?

Linking loyalty programs takes a little work, but the results can be great.

Fan Club members who visit Isle Casino and Lady Luck Casino can now use points at more than 55 Caesars Entertainment properties across the US.

Similarly, those who frequent Caesars Rewards casinos can use their points for discount and complimentary rooms in Colorado.

Caesars Rewards has benefits and partners that stand above most US casino loyalty clubs. Beyond free hotel stays, reward benefits include waiving fees, dining discounts and access to partners outside of the casino-resort.

It will probably take about a year for the two loyalty clubs to meld. Once they do, the process of earning and using Caesars Rewards will be more straightforward. For the time being, it will take a little legwork to maximize rewards between the loyalty programs.
