William Hill Launches Retail Sportsbook In Colorado

William Hill is the latest to open a retail sportsbook in Colorado.

Dubbed “America’s leading sports betting company” in the news release, the physical sportsbook opened last Friday at the Isle Casino Hotel and the Lady Luck Casino in Black Hawk.

There are now six betting kiosks for prospective bettors to use.

William Hill also plans to launch a mobile sports betting app before the start of the NFL season. That is pending the Colorado Limited Gaming Control Commission‘s (CLGCC) approval. It is unlikely to be an issue since the CLGCC is approving any and every license request.

With the William Hill retail sportsbook now open, that brings the total to five physical outlets now available in Colorado for sports betting. Meanwhile, there are 10 sports betting apps live in the state.

As David Grolman, the president of retail operations at William Hill, said in the press release:

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to expand our business in the state of Colorado with these new kiosks. Our relationship with Caesars Entertainment allows us to engage with Colorado sports fans in a new and exciting way. With the recent return of professional baseball, we think the timing could not be better.”

William Hill launches retail sportsbook at right time

Now that the Colorado Rockies are back on the diamond and Colorado is experiencing MLB betting for the first time, the timing is great for the launch.

With the Colorado Avalanche and Denver Nuggets just days away from their return, the excitement should really pick up in the Colorado sports betting market.

The added benefit for new and experienced sports bettors is the retail experience William Hill brings to Colorado.

As the release states, William Hill offers ease to CO sports bettors with their user-friendly platform. It allows bettors to establish new account wagering, make cash deposits and much more.

William Hill will also provide localized futures and odds catered specifically to the Colorado market, according to the release.

Ken Ostempowski, Isle Casino Hotel and Lady Luck Casino senior VP and GM, said in the release:

“We are thrilled to bring another amenity our valued guests can enjoy in our newly renovated casino. Our strategic partnership with William Hill will create an elevated gaming experience that features industry-leading wagering technology and allows us to further our position as Colorado’s premiere location to gamble.”

Now as major US sports return, the best is yet to come for the Colorado sports betting market.

The just-released June Colorado sports handle of $38.1 million is the latest evidence. That helps explain why so many sportsbooks want to get a piece of the Colorado pie.
