The 2022 Mid-States Poker Tour circuit continues through the summer as a great alternative if you’re not in Las Vegas at the World Series of Poker.
The next stop on the schedule is Bally’s Black Hawk Casino, in Black Hawk.
Starting on July 6th and running through July 17th, Bally’s Black Hawk will host an extensive tournament series culminating with a $300,000 guaranteed main event. This event begins on July 14th and has three starting flights. The main event will have a $1,100 entry fee.
As of now, Colorado online poker isn’t legal. And that’s not set to change anytime soon … though anything is possible now with online gambling.

How The Main Event At Bally’s Black Hawk Casino Works
The Bally’s Black Hawk main event follows the same structure as other major MSPT tournaments. Players will begin with 25,000 in chips and Level 1 kicks things off at 100/100/100. There will be a big blind ante in effect throughout.
Levels will be 40 minutes in duration for the entirety of the main event, with 10-minute breaks after every three levels.
The main event is a re-entry, and late registrations and re-entries will be allowed until the start of Level 13 on each Day 1 flight.
The MSPT will also have a Player Of The Series Award, and the winner will earn a $1,100 main event seat to any future MSPT event in the following 90 days.
Will The Bally’s Black Hawk MSPT Stop Again Crush Guarantees?
This will be the second MSPT stop of the year at Bally’s Black Hawk, and guarantees should be smashed if the first visit was any indication. Visit No. 1 featured a $300,000 guarantee but ended up with a massive $661,008 prize pool thanks to a stunning 683 entrants.
What Else Is Running At The Bally’s Black Hawk MSPT Stop?
It’s not just a main event weekend at Bally’s Black Hawk, the MSPT will feature a wide variety of events during this stop.
In addition to the main event and its satellites, the MSPT will hold:
- $250 Sunday Feast event on July 10th
- $250 Seniors event on July 11th
- $300 tag team event on July 12th
- $250 Hump Day event (it’s on Wednesday, July 13th, obviously).
The MSPT will also host a $360 Mystery Bounty tournament with a $100,000 guarantee. It’s a two-day event beginning on Wednesday, July 6 with four starting flights and culminates with Day 2 on July 10th.
There will also be an $80 Sunrise event on July 13 and a $250 last chance event on July 17th. With the exception of the $250 PLO event on July 11th, every event will be NLHE.
