The 2021-22 college football season comes to a close Monday night with No. 1 Alabama taking on No. 3 Georgia in the CFP National Championship Game in Indianapolis.

But one season’s end brings an opportunity for a profitable beginning for new FanDuel Colorado Sportsbook users.

It’s a limited-time cash promo offer that, like either the 13-1 Crimson Tide or 13-1 Bulldogs, will be tough to beat.

Bet $5 on the CFP winner to collect $150

For Monday night’s matchup between the two Southeastern Conference powerhouses, new users simply need to place a $5 moneyline wager on the team they pick to win.

And if the team of their choice caps the evening with a confetti celebration at Lucas Oil Stadium, the 30-1 payoff nets $150 — in cash.

Here are the promo details:

  • New users need to register and make a deposit of at least $5.
  • Then with their initial real-money wager, they will need to bet $5 on either the Alabama or Georgia moneyline prior to the 6 p.m. MT kickoff to select the straight-up winner.
  • If your team wins, that $5 turns into $150 cash — and not site credit.
  • All winning bets will be fulfilled within 72 hours.
  • The offer, again, is for new FanDuel Sportsbook customers only and is available only on the FanDuel app (Desktop users will be directed to download the app).
  • Users who claim this offer will not be eligible for any other acquisition-specific offer.

We’re talking straight cash here

Many sportsbook promotions offer similar odds and payoffs. But what sets this FanDuel promo apart from most is that the winnings will be paid in cold, hard cash.

So, again, that’s not $150 in site credit. Nor is it a series of, say, five free $30 bets.

It’s good, old-fashioned multi-use cash.

It could lead to even more winnings if you choose to reinvest it on FanDuel with wagers on the upcoming NFL playoffs, college basketball season stretch run or possibly do some Colorado Avalanche betting on the red-hot hometown team.

In any case with the 30-1 odds, the $150 won certainly will be sweeter than money earned as the saying goes.

So, is your pick Georgia — or Alabama?

Registering for a new FanDuel Sportsbook account and making that first deposit of at least $5 is the easy part.

It will be much tougher to pick the winner of the CFP championship game itself.

Georgia opened the season with a 10-3 win over Clemson and quickly ascended to the top spot in the national polls while winning its next 11 games.

Defending national champion Alabama, meanwhile, opened the season atop the polls and backed that up by winning its first five contests. A 41-38 loss at Texas A&M on Oct. 9 knocked the Crimson Tide from the ranks of the unbeaten, but it would prove to be their only blemish en route to the title game.

That ensuing eight-game win streak included a 41-24 thrashing of favored Georgia in the Dec. 4 SEC Championship Game and a 27-6 rout of No. 4 Cincinnati in the CFP semifinals.

The Bulldogs, meanwhile, bounced back from the SEC title tilt loss with a 34-11 romp over No. 2 Michigan in their CFP semifinal.

That sets the stage for Monday night’s title game rematch, and Georgia is the slight favorite — just as it was more than a month ago in the first meeting in Atlanta.
