New Colorado Casino Horseshoe Black Hawk To Make More Renovations

The casino formerly known as Isle Casino Hotel Black Hawk near Denver has closed down. But a new casino filled the space and is already open for business.

Recently, a ribbon-cutting ceremony took place for the grand opening of the Horseshoe Black Hawk casino. The property is owned by Caeser’s Entertainment. The building’s exterior has been given a makeover and the casino floor is “reimagined”.

But the renovations don’t stop there. Horseshoe Black Hawk will remain open as more changes will be made from now through the fall months.

The Horseshoe Black Hawk casino joins a long list of brick-and-mortar casinos in Colorado. Norris Hamilton, senior VP, and general manager of the casino said:

“The transformation into the iconic Horseshoe brand will only enhance the experience for our guests. We couldn’t be more excited to bring this legendary brand to Colorado and continue to offer unparalleled and elevated experiences.”

Another change to the former Isle Casino property

Horseshoe’s new home has gone through a handful of changes in the last five years. Here’s a timeline of the major events that have impacted the casino grounds:

2017: Eldorado Resorts buys Isle Casino along with Lady Luck Casino, a Black Hawk sister property. This was part of Eldorado’s $1.7 billion purchase of Isle of Capri Casinos. And its 14th establishment in the United States.
2019: The Isle completed $35 million in resort renovations
2020: Eldorado and Caesars signed a ground-breaking merger, retaining the name Caesars
