Jackpocket, the lottery app that allows players to purchase lottery tickets online, has expanded its reach. The company, founded in 2013, has now developed a website for customers in Colorado and from 14 other states to buy lottery tickets from their laptops and desktop computers.
Jackpocket founder and CEO Peter Sullivan said adding desktop access targets players 45 and older.
“Our goal at Jackpocket is to make the lottery more accessible and convenient, and this launch offers our users even more flexibility to participate their way on their schedule. Between Jackpocket’s new web platform and our mobile app for iOS and Android, lottery fans can choose whichever experience suits them best. While nearly 70% of Jackpocket mobile app users are ages 18-45, we’re seeing early success reaching a different audience with our desktop product. Over 60% of our desktop users are ages 45 and older.”
One million players won lottery prizes through Jackpocket in 2022
The third-party lottery app Jackpocket Colorado became available in 2020. Jackpocket offers Colorado users a secure way to buy Colorado Lottery tickets with a mobile phone and now from a desktop computer or laptop. Players can track results and make withdrawals from the app and website.
The unveiling of its desktop platform comes after a strong 2022 for Jackpocket. It paid out more than $128 million to its users last year. The largest single win by a Jackpocket user was an incredible $7 million Cash4Life prize in New York. Another player in New York won a $3 million Mega Millions prize.
Powerball was the most commonly played lottery game on Jackpocket, which resulted in Powerball producing the most cumulative winnings. Players won over $25 million playing the multi-state game.
One million Jackpocket players won lottery prizes in 2022. Seventeen players won lottery prizes worth at least $1 million. Jackpocket had an average of 23,000 winners each day. In total, since launching in 2013, Jackpocket has paid out over $250 million in winnings.
