No Broncos But Plenty Of Promo Bucks For Wild Card Weekend

Written By Ian St. Clair on 01/08/2021 - Last Updated on June 28, 2024

Since the launch of sports betting in May, it’s been a year of firsts.

The ride continues with NFL wild card weekend set to begin on Saturday. This is the first time the Colorado sports betting market gets to wager on the NFL playoffs.

In terms of football, the wild card and divisional rounds of the NFL playoffs are the best of the season. Both days are packed with football.

Now that the NFL has added one more team to each conference, wild card weekend jumps from two games each day to three.

By now, you know that the Denver Broncos were not granted an invite to the festivities.

However, those with the itch for NFL betting will get it scratched this weekend. As you would expect, the various sportsbooks are trying to lure bettors to use their apps.

With that in mind, here’s a round-up of the various wild card weekend promos.

BetMGM

You could get a re-do if you bet which player in any game will score the first touchdown.

As part of this promo, you can get up to $20 back if your pick isn’t the first to score.

Users must opt-in and place a First TD Scorer prop bet on any NFL game, and you’ll get up to $20 in bonus if your pick doesn’t celebrate in the end zone.

The sportsbook is offering a Wild Card Weekend No Brainer for users.

You can double your money if a touchdown is scored this weekend.

Following the opt-in, you’ll be issued one single-use odds boost to use for “any team to score a touchdown during wild card weekend.”

The price is boosted to +100 and must be placed by the 11:05 a.m. MST kickoff on Saturday.

The max bet is $25.

PointsBet

Another intriguing promo for wild card weekend, the sportsbook has a feature called “NFL Playoffs No Juice Spreads.”

That means you can bet all NFL wild card weekend spreads at +100 odds.

The “No Juice” is a separate “featured market” just underneath the core markets.

William Hill

This is one of the more interesting promos for the weekend.

Dubbed the “Playoff Points Bonus,” users can bet the playoffs and win bonuses based on player stats.

Place a $50+ pregame, full game, standard point spread wager on any of the following three games:

  • Indianapolis Colts vs. Buffalo Bills
  • Los Angeles Rams vs. Seattle Seahawks
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Washington Football Team

If you win, you can also receive bonus dollars for your team’s top running back stats.

The designated running backs for this promo are:

  • Zack Moss of the Bills
  • Jonathan Taylor of the Colts
  • Cam Akers of the Rams
  • Chris Carson of the Seahawks
  • Ronald Jones of the Bucs
  • Antonio Gibson of the Team

In what has been a “year” of firsts, sports bettors in Colorado will get another this weekend.

The wild card round is always an exciting day. Now, throwing in the ability for fans to bet on it will make these next two days even better.
