The excitement over the Denver Broncos is back, and SportsBetting.com wants fans to cash in.
The licensed Colorado sportsbook, owned by the Carousel Group, launched a “$1 Million Pro Football Pick ‘Em” contest that is open to state residents and is free to enter.
SportsBetting.com isn’t live in Colorado yet but plans to be on Sept. 1.
Colorado is the start of an ambitious national sports betting plan for the Carousel Group and SportsBetting.com. Once it’s live in Colorado, the goal is to have licenses in five other states by the end of 2021.
Initially, SportsBetting.com hopes to settle into New Jersey toward the end of 2020.
The Carousel Group has a market deal for Colorado betting with Johnny Nolon’s Casino in Cripple Creek.
The group will provide the online sportsbook mobile betting app for customers within Colorado state lines.
According to a press release, the SportsBetting.com pick’em contest began on Aug. 7.
Carousel Group CEO Daniel Graetzer said in the release:
“We want to start building brand awareness in Colorado and what better way to do that than offer a $1 million prize with no cost to participants. We hope this creates some excitement for the upcoming football season and we really hope a Coloradan walks away with the grand prize.”

The great news for Broncos Country and NFL fans is there’s no purchase or payment necessary to enter or win the SportsBetting.com pick’em contest.
As to how it works …
… The release states the contest focuses on Week 1 of the NFL regular season. The Broncos open the season at home in the second game of the Monday Night Football doubleheader against the Tennessee Titans.
Contestants must pick against the spread and over/under selections for the 16 games to start the 2020 season. Anyone who correctly picks all 32 outcomes will win the $1 million prize.
In the event the $1 million isn’t awarded, the five contestants with the best records will share $10,000 in prizes.

- Second place — $3,000
- Third place — $1,000
- Fourth place — $500
- Fifth place — $500
Graetzer said in the release:
“Sports fans and bettors in the great state of Colorado should keep an eye out for upcoming promotions as we move closer to our sportsbook launch on Sept. 1. We know we’re entering a highly competitive market, but we’re excited to show Colorado and the U.S. what we have in store in terms of a uniquely attractive product.”

After all, 2020 serves as the first chance for fans to dabble in NFL betting in Colorado.
