It’s March, and the 2023 NCAA men’s basketball tournament is upon us. Fans are filling out brackets across the country, and bettors are studying up on teams and matchups ahead of Thursday’s start to the round of 64.
The Colorado sports betting scene is no exception. Even though no schools from the Centennial State made the field, plenty of Colorado casinos and sportsbooks are getting set for the March Madness betting rush.
Plenty of March Madness events at Colorado Casinos
Watch parties are fun ways to enjoy the action. Sportsbooks and casinos will often sell large amounts of seating for these events, and you’ll need to book in advance to make sure you get a seat.
A number of these parties and promotions can be found in Black Hawk, just outside Denver. Caesars Sportsbook at Horseshoe Blackhawk, for instance, is hosting a four-day watch party. Hoops Mania boasts full bar service, food options and giveaways. Tickets are still available for the late session on Saturday, March 18, and the sessions on Sunday.
Saratoga Casino is running several bracket and basketball-themed promotions this month. The casino’s $7,500 Bracket Madness event has 16 spots for the top point-earning players from Feb. 27 through March 12. Those qualifiers are currently going head-to-head in points races, with the players earning the most points advancing to the next round and earning bigger prizes.
Barstool Sportsbook at Ameristar Blackhawk, meanwhile, is running a promotion tying into the first-round games taking place in Denver on Friday, March 17. Customers who place $25 parlay tickets are entered in drawings on March 16 and 17 for tickets to those March Madness contests.

While the Colorado Buffaloes did not make the Big Dance, they are still playing. They earned a bid to the NIT, and edged Seton Hall 65-64 in a first-round game on Tuesday.
Their next contest comes on Sunday against either New Mexico or Utah Valley. While March Madness gets a bigger spotlight, operators will offer wagering on other postseason tournament games, too.
