The first Super Bowl in the Colorado sports betting market is upon us.
If you’re a fan of the Denver Broncos, this is pretty much the worst-case scenario in terms of matchups.
You have the hated Kansas City Chiefs or longtime rival Tom Brady.
Based on an unscientific Twitter poll, Coloradans betting on the Super Bowl lean toward a Tampa Bay Buccaneers win.
Since the first #SuperBowl that Colorado sports bettors can wager on is set, who/what are you taking in #SuperBowlLV? #GoBucs #ChiefsKingdom

Since Brady is no longer in the AFC and he actually has a losing record against the Broncos in the NFL playoffs, that makes sense.
Of course, the other reason could be that former Denver pass rusher Shaquil Barrett plays for the Bucs now.
Either way, most fans want no part of another Super Bowl win for Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City.
To play off of that, here are 7 ways to bet against the Chiefs in Super Bowl LV prop bets.
1. Super Bowl MVP
If you think the Buccaneers will win, this is an easy one. And you could get a good payout in the process.
Mahomes is the consensus favorite at the sportsbooks, so you could drop a bet on two or three apps and see a good payday if you’re right.
If you really want to go for a longshot, you could go with Barrett to win MVP. Who knows, he could pull a Von Miller.
At BetMGM, Barrett is +5,000.
2. First touchdown scorer
This one could come down to who gets the ball first.
If it’s the Chiefs, the odds say they’ll score, and it’ll probably be receiver Tyreek Hill who gets in the end zone.
However, if you want to go against the grain, here’s another opportunity to bet against KC. So wager on Tampa Bay to score the first touchdown.
Tied into this is who gets that Buccaneers TD.
Yes, even that is an option when it comes to the prop bets.
3. Team to record the first sack
Speaking of Barrett, this is a good one for Broncos fans to wager on.
You could see a former fan-favorite sack Mahomes and make a few bucks off of it in the process.
At William Hill, Barrett and Tampa Bay are the favorite right now at -135.
4. Most passing yards
Again, not only do you get to bet against the Chiefs but Mahomes as well.
Yes, it’s a dicey proposition to wager against the best quarterback in the NFL right now, but if your gut says otherwise, listen to it.
Mahomes is the obvious favorite at most sportsbooks, so if you bet on Brady and he delivers, you get a double win.
5. Total passing competitions/yards/touchdowns for Mahomes
If you think Barrett and the Buccaneers defense will slow down Mahomes and that Kansas City offense, this is a great chance to bet the under on the various totals for Mahomes.
If you really want to go wild, you could parlay all three of these.
Just remember that parlay betting is more risky since you have to win all of your picks to win the bet.
6. Tampa Bay to win both halves
Unlike some of the other bets, this one is more yes or no.
If you have a good feeling about Brady and the Bucs, this is a good option to go with.
As it stands at Pointsbet, “yes” is +400 right now.
7. What will happen first?
To cap off the list of ways to bet against Kansas City, here’s a fun prop bet from the SuperBook.
Will the Chiefs score or punt first? The current odds on both are -110.
If you’re one of those who isn’t looking forward to the Super Bowl, hopefully this list will help make the game a little more entertaining.
