Ute Mountain Casino is set to get a retail sportsbook.
It was announced Monday that IGT PlaySports will expand its sports betting footprint in Colorado through a multi-year agreement with the tribal casino in southwest Colorado.
According to the news release, International Game Technology (IGT) will provide its PlaySports platform, self-service betting kiosks and turnkey services to to the casino.
As of now, it’s unclear whether a mobile sports betting platform is also part of the agreement.
As Rich Scheer, Ute Mountain Casino general manager, said in the release:
“Ute Mountain Casino has big plans for our sportsbooks scheduled to open at the end of August. And we are confident that IGT’s PlaySports technology and experienced trading team will help us bring a new level of entertainment to our valued Mountain Rewards players. IGT has been a trusted partner of Ute Mountain Casino for many years. We are excited to expand our relationship and differentiate our casino with the introduction of sports betting and personalized betting offers.”
First retail sportsbook at a Colorado tribal casino
If the name looks familiar that’s because IGT is in the Colorado sports betting space.
IGT powers the Circa Sports Colorado betting app that just celebrated it’s one-year birthday.
The company also powers the PlayMaverick sports betting app and three retail sportsbooks at the Grand Z Casino and Johnny Z’s Casino in Central City, as well as the Z Casino in Black Hawk.
When it opens in late August, it will serve as the first retail sportsbook at a tribal casino in Colorado.
As for the tribal mobile sports betting options, the Sky Ute sportsbook is available to download on iOS and Android devices.
IGT currently powers sports betting at more than 40 gaming outlets across the U.S.
