Betfred has gone big with its launch in Colorado. Really big.

The UK-based company will become the ninth sportsbook to launch in the state. It’s the the first do so in a retail sportsbook. It has an agreement with Saratoga Casino in Black Hawk.

Betfred has also agreed to a multi-year deal with the Denver Broncos. It is now an official partner with the organization.

Denver will have first on-site betting lounge in the NFL

If that wasn’t enough, there are also plans for a game-day lounge on the south side of Empower Field at Mile High for the 2020 season. The plan is to have the lounge close to the Ring of Fame Plaza.

When it’s completed, it will be the first on-site betting lounge in the NFL.

To get an idea of what this may look like, you have to go to The Meadowlands in New Jersey, which has an on-site FanDuel lounge. The big difference is FanDuel Sportsbook isn’t an official partner of the New York Giants or New York Jets.

According to a release from the Broncos, fans can visit the lounge pregame to receive assistance on placing bets with the Betfred digital app and view live odds. Only people 21 and over are allowed inside the betting lounge area. The release says the agreement also includes other marketing opportunities in digital, print, radio, and TV.

“(Betfred is) relatively new to Colorado and are enthusiastic to be a part of game day at Empower Field at Mile High,” Broncos Chief Commercial Officer Mac Freeman said in the release. “Through a tailgate activation featuring a gaming lounge adjacent to Sports Legends Mall, we will be able to provide our fans with a new and exciting onsite experience at our stadium.”

Betfred Sportsbook launches on Wednesday

Betfred is the second sportsbook this week to announce a multi-year agreement with the Broncos. FanDuel announced its partnership on Monday.

The Betfred retail sportsbook will launch on Wednesday, June 17, fittingly at the same time casinos in Black Hawk and Central City can reopen to the public after shutdowns due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Colorado is the second state to have a Betfred sportsbook. The first was Iowa.

According to the release, the plan is to have the app available before the NFL season.

Betfred knew it had to go big with this launch. Mission accomplished.

“We’re extremely proud of our partnership with Saratoga and are excited to be part of the rich gaming community in Black Hawk,” said Chief Operating Officer of Betfred USA Sports Bryan Bennett.

“We knew we needed to be aggressive upon entering the Colorado market with a Vegas-quality sportsbook and a sponsorship agreement with the Denver Broncos, one of the premier franchises in US sports. We look forward to launching our online platform right before football season.”
