Sky Ute Sportsbook Sports Betting App Set For Soft Launch In Colorado

Colorado sports bettors will soon have another app at their fingertips with the Sky Ute Sportsbook.

The Sky Ute Sportsbook app is set for a soft launch in the upcoming week, according to the Sky Ute Casino and Resort.

The Sky Ute app is powered by USBookmaking and will be the seventh to launch in Colorado since sports betting was made official on May 1. There are currently 17 app licensees planning to launch in the future.

What makes the Sky Ute Sportsbook launch significant is it will be the first sports betting app to launch from one of Colorado’s tribal casinos.

How to download the Sky Ute Sportsbook App

The Sky Ute Sportsbook app will be available for download on Android and IOS devices and will be found on the casino’s website or the Apple App Store.

While casinos remain closed (for now) and have been since mid-March due to the COVID-19 pandemic, sports betting offers a slight reprieve for them and for sports-starved bettors.

The Sky Ute Casino and Resort is set to become latest to test the sports betting waters.

It’s important to note that tribal properties are not mandated to follow orders from Gov. Jared Polis.

What puts Colorado ahead of the curve when it comes to sports betting in these bizarre and precarious times is that prospective bettors can sign up for the app they choose from their couch. That is unlike states like Nevada where users must do so from the brick-and-mortar casino.

Here are the six CO sports betting apps that Sky Ute joins in Colorado:

About US Bookmaking

USBookmaking was launched in 2016 by Victor Salerno.

Since then, USBookmaking is the leading sports betting company to serve Native American casinos. According to its website, USBookmaking is also the only Native American-owned sportsbook company in the US.

The website says the company’s goal is to secure sportsbook agreements with both independent and tribal casinos.

That explains why USBookmaking will power the Sky Ute sports betting app.

As for Salerno, who is president at USBookmaking, he is often described as the “dean” of American sports betting.

He has over 40 years in the sports betting business, serving as Chairman of American Wagering Inc. (AWI).

At AWI, Salerno launched the first computerized sportsbook platform, Computerized Bookmaking Services (CBS), that is still in use today, according to the website.

As the site continues, Salerno is a popular contributor on sports betting panels and symposiums throughout the industry because of his unique perspective as an American sportsbook operator with an extensive background in all areas of sports betting.

USBookmaking is based out of Las Vegas.
