When the Carousel Group and SportsBetting.com announced its plans to launch in Colorado, the common response was, “Who?”
Followed with, “that’s a great name for a sports betting app.”
Since then, the European company has announced its ambitious plans for the US. Colorado is the first market it will enter, with plans to enter five more states by the end of 2021.
The first test is the Colorado sports betting market.
As of Wednesday, SportsBetting.com is now available in the Centennial State. SportsBetting.com is currently web-only; however, the book plans to have an app for iOS and Android users by the end of next week.

The launch of SportsBetting.com brings the total to 15 Colorado sports gambling apps now live in the state since sports betting went live on May 1.
The CO sportsbook has a partnership with Johnny Nolon’s Casino in Cripple Creek to bring sports betting to the Centennial State. The deal got approval earlier this year. However, SportsBetting.com does not plan to open a retail sportsbook.
PlayColorado spoke with CEO Daniel Graetzer for a Q-and-A about the Colorado launch and the company’s plans for the future.

PlayCO: How exciting is it to launch?
Graetzer: We are incredibly excited to unveil SportsBetting.com to the United States; it feels like Christmas in September. This project is the culmination of years of planning and hard work, and finally, we get to see our product live in the booming Colorado market.
PlayCO: What will make SportsBetting.com stand out in the market?
Graetzer: SportsBetting.com offers some of the best odds and highest limits in the market, meaning we offer great value for customers and we won’t kick out players just because they are winning.
We are also obsessed with user experience and developing great end-user products, so keep a close eye on SportsBetting.com as we will be building some incredible features over the coming months and years.
Our inaugural promotion will provide customers an entire week of risk-free betting. If they win, fantastic, but if they lose, we’ll be refunding up to $500 of wagers for an entire week.
PlayCO: What have the first few months shown you about the Colorado market?
Graetzer: They’ve proven exactly what we expected … that there’s an insatiable appetite for sports betting in Colorado. This is a diehard sports state, and we couldn’t be more pleased that our maiden voyage to the US will be aboard the Centennial ship.

Graetzer: Our expectations are sky-high, but also realistic. We understand the competition in Colorado and across all licensed states is strong, but we’re confident that with our experience and resources, we’ll soon become one of the most utilized, most loved and most reputable sportsbooks in Colorado and beyond.
