The Lodge Casino sportsbook

Online gambling is not allowed in Colorado, but sports betting is both on-site and online.

In April, The Lodge Casino announced it was partnering with the Las Vegas-based SuperBook to run both The Lodge’s online and retail sportsbook operations.

In November 2019, Colorado passed a referendum to legalize sports betting starting May 1. According to the law, both retail and online sports betting will be legal in the state.

The Lodge Casino announced it’s on-site and online sportsbook would be run by SuperBook. The Las Vegas-based SuperBook promises an extensive wagering menu for CO bettors. The same will be available for its sister property, The Gilpin, which is also in Black Hawk.

Colorado’s official Sports Betting Catalog lists all the games, events and prop bets that sportsbooks can take action on within the state. All indications are that the SuperBook at The Lodge Casino will offer wagering on everything from major championships, the NBA, NHL, NFL, and MLB, as well as college sports, including, but not limited to college football and both men’s and women’s college basketball.

“Remote sign-up was the key,” Jay Kornegay, the executive vice president of operations at Westgate SuperBook, told PlayColorado. For those who don’t live near Black Hawk, this will offer convenience for CO sports bettors.

The Lodge Casino gaming

The Lodge Casino has more than 52,000 square feet of gaming space, which includes almost 1,000 gaming machines and 23 table games. The Lodge was the first casino in the area to have a hotel and restaurant on-site.

It also boasts four restaurants and four bars for patrons to choose from during their visit.

Slot machines

The Lodge Casino has 975 slot and video poker machines. The prices range from penny slots up to $100, which is currently the maximum allowed in the state.

Table games

Colorado’s current gaming restrictions allow for a limited variety of table games. The Lodge offers all that CO permits: poker, blackjack, craps and roulette. The casino has 23 table games available for play.

Lodge rewards program

The Winners Club is The Lodge Casino’s rewards program. It is the same program affiliated with its sister casino The Gilpin Casino in Black Hawk. As is the case with most rewards programs, members earn cash back, entries into drawings and coupon mailers.

After signing up, members receive 50 points, as well as a free meal from the Seasons Buffet.

The Winners Club has four levels, which members can move up through by earning points within six-month periods. Each level has a set of rewards, from hotel and food rewards to event tickets and complimentary machine lockdowns. Players earn one point for every $2 in slot play and for every $4 in video poker play.

The first level is the Silver tier and it requires 30,000 points. The next is the Gold tier and takes 75,000 points to reach. The third is the Platinum tier, which players must accumulate 150,000 points. The top level is the Millennium tier; players need to earn 250,000 points during a six-month window.
