The Brass Ass Casino

The Brass Ass Casino is one of 11 gaming establishments operating in the small mountain casino city of Cripple Creek, CO. Like many of Cripple Creek’s casinos, The Brass Ass is located along the city’s charming and historic main street.

The casino is one of three adjacent Cripple Creek gambling houses owned and operated by the gaming organization, Triple Crown Casinos.

Located in one of Cripple Creek’s historic buildings, The Brass Ass Casino is the oldest gaming establishment in the Western-style gambling town. But don’t let its age fool you, the Brass Ass features more than 200 of the newest and most popular slots in Cripple Creek.

In addition, the casino offers 11 tables, featuring all of the select table games allowed in Colorado: blackjack, roulette, craps, and features popular poker-based games.

The Brass Ass Casino Sportsbook

After legal sports betting was approved for 2020 in the state of Colorado, Triple Crown Casinos moved quickly to secure its license and position in Colorado’s up-and-coming sports gambling market. In February, the Brass Ass became one of seven casinos to be approved for a sports betting master license.

Four of the seven licenses went to casinos within the city. In addition, three out of the four sports betting licenses went to Triple Crown Casinos, giving the gambling enterprise a firm hold on the Cripple Creek sports betting market.

Along with the Brass Ass and its two sister casinos, JP McGills and Midnight Rose, the other casinos that received a sports betting license are Dostal AlleyDouble EagleMonarch Casino and Saratoga Casino.

The Brass Ass Casino can expand its gambling operations to include an online, mobile, and retail sportsbook.

Since February’s first round of licensing, other casinos throughout Colorado’s gaming industry have also secured sports gambling permits. Many Colorado casinos spent several months to sign contracts with notable sportsbook agencies in preparation for legalized sports betting in the Centennial State.

However, despite the rising pressure to secure a reputable sportsbook, Triple Crown Casinos has yet to announce which operator will head the sportsbook in Cripple Creek.

Since Triple Crown Casinos moved swiftly to secure its license, it can only be assumed that a business deal with a top-notch sportsbook is likely on the horizon for Cripple Creek’s Triple Crown Casinos.

The Brass Ass Casino history

The charming Colorado gambling house opened its doors in June 1995.

The memorable name is an ode to a donkey statue on the property named of wood and brass. The figure is an ode to the donkeys used at the 1893 World Exposition in Chicago that would kick boats to help launch them in the water.
